Call for Action Denouncement from Antinazi Initiative and Call for Action

Dear friends,
Antinazi Initiative sends the following informative note - letter to the European institutional bodies, to antifascist organizations, to Greek and European democrats, and condemns the recent decision of the Greek Supreme Court that acquitted Nazism and asks for support to its 3 prosecuted members who go on trial on September 22, 2010. We propose that you sign a text of denouncement and declaration of solidarity which you can send to the Greek prime minister and the President of the European Parliament, and which you will find at the end of this message with the instructions for sending it.

“I welcome the first steps taken by the Greek government towards the establishment of a fair, accessible and swift refugee protection system. Changes in the field of protecting the rights of migrants, especially asylum seekers, are particularly urgent” said Thomas Hammarberg, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, as he published today three letters sent to the Greek Government.

Σήμερα με τον όρο ρατσισμός δεν θεωρούμε μόνο την φυλετική προκατάληψη διότι με τον ρατσισμό παραβιάζετε κάθε είδος θεμελιώδους δικαιώματος του ανθρώπου στην ισότητα, στην ισοπολιτεία, στην πολιτική καθώς επίσης και σε κάθε παράγοντα της ανθρώπινης ζωής. Και ο όρος ρατσισμό έχει μια ιδιαίτερη βαρύτητα όταν συμβαίνει σε μια χώρα που γεννήθηκε η δημοκρατία.
Εν έτη 2010, υπάρχουν χιλιάδες άνθρωποι, πολιτικοί πρόσφυγες καθώς επίσης και παιδιά του «παιδομαζώματος» οι οποίοι αναγκάστηκαν να εγκαταλείψουν ή εκδιώχθηκαν από την Ελλάδα κατά την διάρκεια και το τέλος του εμφύλιου πολέμου το 1948.
